The Time is Here: Choosing Your Senior Session Date!
I know that it seems early to start thinking about when you want to have your senior session, but it's not!
Power Team '25 will have first access to may calendar, between now and July 31. On August 1, I will open it up to the public. Here are some things to think about when choosing what time of year you want for your senior session:
- Based on your other commitments and activities, what time of year are you busiest? If you're busier in the Fall, then choose Winter or Spring for your session (or vice versa).
- Do you love warm tones, cozy sweaters and boots? Then choose Fall/Winter for your session.
- If you love flowers and summery types of clothes, then choose Spring OR Fall! Everyone knows that Houston is still hot well through the end of October, which is perfect for your white dress/cowgirl boots and strappy tops and sandals.
- If you choose Spring, and you want flowers and green grass, then choose the end of March - mid-May. Depending on our winter and early spring weather, the flowers and leaves could be delayed in blooming, so I would advise against choosing a February or early March date.
- If you want an urban / downtown look, then choose January or February when it doesn't matter how green anything is.
We will be booking the rest of our planned minis in the coming weeks. As I start getting events planned, I will remove those dates from my availability.
Because my life is very full (full time job + help my parents), I only do photography on one day of the weekend. So, if someone chooses a Saturday date, then I block the following Sunday off of my calendar. Same scenario when someone chooses a Sunday, I block Saturday off my calendar. Reserving the other day of the weekend for "life" helps me keep my sanity! :)
Before you choose a date and book it, please give it a lot of thought. The date can be changed if something comes up, but it is not ideal. Someone else that may have wanted the date you chose might have had to compromise on a less ideal date for her. So, please put some thought into your date choice. Thank you!
If you have any questions at all about choosing your senior session date, please drop a comment in the GroupMe. Someone else might have the same question, so others may benefit from the answer.
Here is the link to view my calendar and reserve your date. As things come up in my life with vacation plans, etc., I'll continue to tweak my availability. The quicker you choose your date, the more likely you'll end up with the date/time of you year that is ideal for you!
